Comment, Summary, Response
Saints, are you ready to be the church of the living God in a time unparalleled? Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.
really be a seven-year covenant, a peace treaty pertinent to
And after the abomination is set up we see the typical characteristics of an end-time leader spoken of in the Scriptures: the vile one who exalts and magnifies himself, proclaiming to be god; saying unheard of things against the God of gods. Who comes against the holy people; as they fall by the sword, and flame, and by captivity, and by spoil for many days. As he goes out in great rage to make war, and to annihilate and destroy many.
And remember, two main events take place after the abomination is set up: 1-It signals the beginning of a time of great tribulation. And 2-Immediately after the trouble is the saving of the elect. As the Son of Man appears in the heavens with great power and glory. (Matt. 24:15-31) But the elect, to this day, still await His appearing in the clouds to take them away.
Furthermore, the time frame of the prophecy is clear. Daniel 11 and into 12, its words and revelation were sealed up for the last days.
But you Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. 12:4
Go your way Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 12:9
And what of the 2300 days in Daniel 8? It only fits in the last days. The vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the trampling down of the sanctuary; and the giving of the mighty and the holy people into the hands of a king who is of fierce countenance and who understands dark sentences!
And the he in Daniel 9, who confirms the covenant with many for one week—the last seven years of the 70 weeks; who stops the daily sacrifice in the midst of the week (after 3 ˝ years, with 3 ˝ years left); who overspreads the abomination that makes desolate…who is he? Christ or the Antichrist?
Paul makes it quite clear that just preceding the second coming of Jesus Christ that the man of sin, the son of perdition must first be revealed. Who’s coming with great power and demonic might, and signs, and lying wonders; exalting and magnifying himself; proclaiming in the temple of God that he is god, the messiah, the savior of the world.
...concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you…let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God…whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4,8
When the covenant is signed and the temple construction begins revival will fall amidst those who can discern the times. There will be a great impression of the imminent nearness of Christ's return and eternity. The Spirit will fall. There will be a great ingathering of souls and end-time harvest. Church, body of Christ are you ready to play your part in the end-time move
of God? Bride of Christ are you prepared to meet Him? Dressed in fine linen, clean and white? But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. 2 Cor. 11:3
When end-time prophecy starts to actually take shape it will be hard not to see it! For it will be happening before our very eyes!
There will be relative peace and calm for 3 ˝ years before all the hell of the dragon's wrath is unleashed on the earth and its inhabitants. In the midst of the week; when the daily sacrifice is stopped, and the abomination set up. Making way for a time of great tribulation, and the last 3 ˝ years.
Wisdom and power are his.
He changes times and seasons;
He sets up kings and deposes them.
He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.
He reveals deep and hidden things;
He knows what lies in darkness and light dwells with Him. Dan. 2:21-22
Pharaoh dreamed dreams on his bed and awoke and was troubled in his spirit. But all the wise men of Egypt, and the magicians, none were able to explain to Pharaoh his dreams. But it was reported by the chief butler that there was a young Hebrew who could interpret dreams. Joseph was brought from the dungeon to stand before Pharaoh's throne.
It is not me: God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace…The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.
seven years of great plenty will come throughout all the
And the dream was repeated to Pharaoh twice because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass. Gen. 41
If two establish it, what more can be said of seven? Of the seven times, God in His Word reveals the 3 ˝ years!
was a dreamer. He dreamed dreams that he would rule over all
his father’s house, and that his brothers would bow down before him.
But his brothers envied him, and hated him all the more because of his
dreams. They would have killed him…then what would have become of this
dreamer? But they sold him into slavery, and in
But God was with Joseph and prospered him. And promoted him from prison to becoming prime minister in charge of the whole land of Egypt under Pharaoh.
The seven years of plenty, and the seven years of severe famine came to pass. And all of Israel came to Goshen, and dwelt in the land of Egypt. And Joseph’s brothers came and bowed down before him just as he dreamed.
God made known what He was about to do. He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to the discerning.
But there arose a Pharaoh who knew not Joseph. And he said to the people, "Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; come let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us…Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses. Ex. 1:8-11
Sarah conceived and bore a son being ninety years old—for with God nothing shall be impossible. Yet while Sarah was still barren God appeared to Abraham saying, Know certainly that your descendents will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will
judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. (Gen. 15:13-17)
Before the son of promise ever was; before there ever were descendents of Israel; some 200 years before the famine that would drive them out of Canaan—God proclaimed and prophesied His plan to Abraham that they would be afflicted in a strange land and afterwards come out with great possessions.
And so it was…the miracle child Isaac was born; then Jacob and then his twelve sons; Joseph was sold into Egypt but became lord and ruler under Pharaoh; the children of Israel came and dwelt in the land; and there they were afflicted until God raised up a deliverer, to deliver his people from bondage…and they came out with great possessions!
He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in darkness and the light dwells with Him. God has put the last days in His Book. It is established. Seven times He has revealed to us the last 3 ˝ years—to show his servants things which must shortly take place. For you are children of light and not darkness, so that the day of the Lord should not surprise you like a thief.
In Revelation 12 we see the great instigator of these times: the devil himself, along with his hosts of darkness. The great dragon, that serpent of old as he sees his time is short makes one final assault on God and the woman and her offspring who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.
But God is with her to the end: providing, protecting, and guiding her for 1260 days.
In Revelation 13 we get details of the end-time regime and its 42 month reign of terror. Its war on the saints. Its authority over every tribe, tongue, and nation. Its great deceiving signs and wonders.
The setting up of the 666 system, the dark order; and the mandated worship of the dragon empowered beast and his image.
We get more insights in Daniel 7 on the end-time leader as he comes up out of the ten kings subduing three of them. We see the same persecution of the saints who are given into his hands for a time and times and half a time.
But in Daniel 7 we also see the end of the matter: what expires after the 3 ˝ years. As the beast is slain, his body given to the burning fire, and his dominion taken away. The greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven is then given to the Son and the Saints—whose kingdom is one which shall never pass away.
In Revelation 11 we are shown the temple and the outer court; the giving of the holy city into the hands of the gentiles to be trodden down for 42 months. We see the two witnesses and their great power: a manifestation of the Spirit of God's great outpouring in the last days. The two witnesses prophesy for 1260 days and are slain by the beast, ending the 6th trumpet…and behold the 7th trumpet comes quickly—the return of Jesus to gather the elect, and rule as King of kings, and Lord of lords.
In the last of Daniel 11 and Daniel 12 we see the end-time leader, the last king from the north in all his deceit. He's against the covenant; he talks peace but his heart is for war.
We see the temple and its defilement, the daily sacrifice being taken away, the abomination set up, and the time of great trouble begins. And how long before the end of this astonishing things?
Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank. One of them said to the man clothed in fine linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”
Then the man clothed in fine linen, who was above the waters of the river lifted his right hand and his left hand towards heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. And when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished.” Daniel 12:5-7
Time (one year) times (two years) and half a time (1/2 a year)…the duration of the astonishing things is 3 ˝ years!
The 3 ˝ years are perfect and precise! Framed in amazing prophetic detail! For it is a God-the-Father given time period! With an appointed end—it ends when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered! And it has its appointed beginning—3 ˝ years before—when the abomination of desolation is set up; when the beast is given authority and power to continue 42 months; as he persecutes the saints…who are given into his hands for a time, times, and half a time.
The 3 ˝ years, along with all the end-time supporting passages: Daniel 8 and the 2300 days; the 70 weeks and the last 7 year period that consummates it all; the book of Revelation; as it's pieces are pieced together, we get a view of the whole sum; a clear picture of the last days concealed in plain sight in The Book, God's Word.
It was not my intent to try to give detailed information on who the antichrist was. Or the deadly wound, or the meaning of 666, or the names of the two witnesses, etc…actually, I had no intention of writing this book… it was God's idea. He was prodding me and I resisted…"but God I'm not a writer". Though I had a great passion for end-time prophecy I complained, "I can't do it. It's impossible. It's too daunting of a task". Finally I gave in saying, "OK God, if you want me to do it you will have to do it through me because I know I can't do it".
I say, what profit is there in knowing all the signs and yet not being ready to meet Him at His appearing? What would Jesus say to his followers today? Just what he told them almost 2000 years ago when they asked about his coming and the end of the age…watch and pray always…be ready…and be not deceived.
Things will not get better on the world scene…the nations and their distresses; unsolvable perplexities; the waves and the sea roaring. Things will only wax worse and worse, and grow, until the last days are upon us.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Hab. 2:3
…never forsake the words of this prophecy, for concealed within these very lines, the wise shall know the end of times. Isaac Newton
